While Sanjay Dutt has done number of films for his friends and associates, there have been times when he has had too much to juggle with. Also, certain issues have plagued timely completion of some of his films, case in point being DEPARTMENT or now ZILLA GHAZIABAD which is yet to see the light of the day. However he has been raring to get started on his newest assignment, the remake of Tamil hit SAAMY.
Informs our source, ''Sanju baba always has only one condition from his directors and that is to make a film as honestly as has been narrated. In the past he has suffered by merely trusting a director's instinct. However now he has started going through all intricate details before coming on board. SAAMY is one such film where baba feels that it would do wonders to his current standing as an actor. He is no mood to be distracted.''
No wonder, he is super charged about the film and is lending it his undivided attention. Now this would indeed be music to the makers, more so since Dutt is known for quickly reprioritising things on the fly when it comes to films where he steps in as an actor and gets disappointed.
''Well, that can't be expected in case of this film for sure,'' the source adds, ''Sanju baba is the central protagonist in the film and is playing a cop with grey shades. After a roaring act as Kaancha Cheena in AGNEEPATH, this is just the kind of film he wanted to step in. The timing is just perfect.''
