When JISM 2 was launched, many did wonder if it was a wise decision indeed on the part of makers to actually entrust Sunny Leone to deliver goods, more so since JISM is a franchise that could have flourished further with the presence of a far more established actress. Quiz Pooja Bhatt about this and she has her own reasons to narrate.
"I will tell you something. I discussed this with my actors and told them all that JISM 2 had to one film which would be talked about in everyone's bio-data for the rest of their lives. Of course everyone has his or her limitations; even Sunny had," confesses Pooja, "There were certain things that she caught really well and it was a breeze for her. On the other hand there were situations when things were really difficult for her as well as me."
She continues, "However at the end of the day it doesn't matter to the audience whether canning of a particular shot took 3 or 30 takes. What matters is whether I pushed my actors well enough and persisted with them to fetch right results."
However, a start in the right direction was made many months ago when it was decided to cast Sunny along with Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh, hence leading to an unassuming cast that no one could see coming.
"Well, isn't this what Bhatts are known for?" smiles Pooja, "Over the years, my father (Mahesh Bhatt) and uncle (Mukesh Bhatt) had the balls to back people who they believed in and not what market believed it. It's the same trait that I too have inherited. Yes, for JISM 2 we have managed an out of the box casting. In fact the package is the kind that I am sure no one would have the guts to assemble. Still, we have managed to pull it off, and how. Something like this requires guts and I am glad that today if I succeed or fail, it would be on my own terms."
We would like to check out what it really stands for once JISM 2 releases all over on 3rd August.
