'Masala' is in and while ROWDY RATHORE is indeed looking solid to turn out to be yet another 'masaledaar' hit with over 100 crore all set to fall in its kitty, one expects the same for HIMMATWALA - yet another 'masala' outing - too with the combination of Sajid Khan and Ajay Devgn expected to rake in good moolah. One looks forward to how exactly does Ajay fill in the big white shoes of Jeetendra here.
Smiles Sajid, ''See, we have bought rights of the film as well as two of its songs but honestly, my HIMMATWALA is not really a true-blue remake in the real sense. When the film would release next year, you would know for yourself. I can tell you on record that in today's time, a frame-by-frame remake of HIMMATWALA won't work. It would have to be changed and I am not stupid that I won't understand that.''
One common factor that has stayed consistent in each of Sajid's films so far is Akshay Kumar. Today, even though he has moved on to Ajay Devgn for HIMMATWALA, Sajid proudly exclaims that Akshay has been much more than just an elder brother for him.
''I love Akshay. He is not just like my elder brother; he is also one of my best friends. I am largely influenced by the way he leads his personal life, the way he does his investments, the kind of father, husband and son that he is and last but not the least, the kind of professional that he is. Today I am especially happy that I have been the first person to work with him and make a 100 crores earner film. I am sure both of us would have many more successes like these in future,'' smiles Sajid before signing off.
