This week's new release, FERRARI KI SAWAARI, has slowly and surely peaked at the right time. The timely and apt promotions, good music, its trailers, which are aimed both at the masses and classes, and not to forget children, have all helped the cause. For quite a while now, even before the start of the promotions, we have insisted that the film will turn out to be a dark horse and will prove to be a runaway success, and seeing the way things are shaping up in the trade circle, we are even more sure!
Another person super confident about the success of FERRARI KI SAWAARI is the producer with the Midas touch, Vidhu Vinod Chopra. As is the norm, producers sell the satellite rights of their films much prior to the release, but despite his film boasting of just two known faces, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani, so confident is he about his upcoming FKS that he reportedly refused an offer of 25 crore for the satellite rights! (Must add that 25 crore is indeed a big sum considering that there are no front line stars in the film!). Moreover there is news in the trade that VVC has demanded 35 crore from the channel before the theatrical release. He reportedly added that after the film's releases the price would be 40 crore!
