Just a day or two ago media was rife with news that Aamir Khan has postponed the release date of his upcoming film TALAASH, which was earlier slated to release on 1st June 2012 all over. Now UTV Motion Pictures has announced the release date of their much touted film ROWDY RATHORE starring Akshay Kumar. Quite interestingly ROWDY RATHORE has been scheduled for 1st June 2012 release.

Directed by Prabhudeva, ROWDY RATHORE also stars Sonakshi Sinha. Produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is a remake of the super-hit Telugu film VIKRAMARKUDU, which was also remade in Tamil as SIRUTHAI. Music director duo Sajid-Wajid composed the music for the film.

The film will see Akshay Kumar back in his original action avatar.

Seems like Aamir's TALAASH has inadvertently paved a way for Akshay's ROWDY RATHORE!
