After a phenomenal pick up during the opening weekend, Sujoy Ghosh's Vidya Balan starrer, KAHAANI, saw a rock-steady run in the weekdays as it collected 5.25 crore from Bombay, 1.10 crores from Ahmedabad, 25 lakhs from Surat, 31.75 lakhs from Baroda, 15.60 lakhs from Rajkot, 1.30 crore from Pune, 13 lakhs from Nasik, 15.65 lakhs from Goa, 5.10 lakhs from Belgaum, 2.75 crore from Delhi city, 40 lakhs from Noida, 20 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 16.20 lakhs from Kanpur, 28.60 lakhs from Lucknow, 10 lakhs from Agra, 6.20 lakhs from Allahabad, 52.50 lakhs from Gurgaon, 7.35 lakhs from Faridabad, 1.65 lakhs from Kurukshetra, 3.50 lakhs from Panipat, 11.50 lakhs from Chandigarh, 4 lakhs from Jalandhar, 3 lakhs from Amritsar, 2.65 lakhs from Ludhiana, 2.25 lakhs from Bhatinda, 2.15 lakhs from Ambala, 2 crores from Calcutta, 1.50 lakhs from Darjeeling, 9 lakhs from Siliguri, 30 lakhs from Nagpur, 14.55 lakhs from Raipur, 30 lakhs from Indore, 4.55 lakhs from Gwalior (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 30 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 2.55 lakhs from Ajmer, 2.50 lakhs from Bikaner, 5.25 lakhs from Kota, 4.65 lakhs from Udaipur, 51 lakhs from Hyderabad, 6 lakhs from Aurangabad (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 1.15 crore from Bangalore, 7.55 lakhs from Mangalore, 2.15 lakhs from Vijayawada, 6.35 lakhs from Visakhapatnam and 5.25 lakhs from Kochi. Netting a superb 23.50 crore (including paid previews) KAHAANI is a clean hit that is all said to end a few notches higher. The film is also very impressive in the overseas (especially US) grossing £157,200 in the UK and $616,500 from the US, till the second weekend (16-18 March).
