Riteish Deshmukh continues to be in the middle of an exciting phase. Last year he saw a good success in DOUBLE DHAMAAL and this year has started well with TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA turning out to be a sweet success. Now in 10 days he would be seeing the arrival of HOUSEFULL 2 which is expected to take a humungous start. With solo as well as multi-starrer releases in quick succession, it is apparent that Riteish's endeavour is to play a balancing game.
''TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA may not have earned massive crores for itself but with collections in the upwards of 20 crores and has seen good appreciation coming its way, there has been a positive word of mouth,'' says an industry expert, ''For Riteish Deshmukh the success is all the more important since this is his first solo lead success in a very long time.'' In such a scenario one would well have expected the actor to be in immense pressure to deliver due to the film being his solo release while being a tad comfortable when it comes to a multi starrer like HOUSEFULL 2.
Says Riteish, ''In fact more than the fact that whether I am carrying a film entirely on my shoulders or not, what matters most is the genre that I am dealing with. In a comedy outing it is relatively easier since based on the script I know that a particular punch-line in a scene would end up making audience laugh. However in a romantic film there are lots of other things that go into making a good film.''
''There are other set of issues to be dealt with and I was more concerned about them. As an actor I had to be constantly on my toes. Honestly, the pressure is just the same on me, whether I am working in a solo or a multi-starrer,'' concludes Riteish.
