The film will dramatise the first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where gangster Manya Surve was shot dead in 1982. Further describing his character John says, ''I play a character of Manya Surve a.k.a Manohar Surve. He ruled Mumbai from 1979 to 1982.''
