Kajal Agarwal is on a roll. Between SINGHAM (Ajay Devgn) and SPECIAL CHABBIS (Akshay Kumar), she has already enjoyed a blockbuster in the form of south film BUSINESSMAN. Currently working with A.R. Murugadoss of GHAJINI fame in Tamil flick THUPPAKKI and with Anand K.V. (who has to his credit much acclaimed KO) in MAATRAAN, Kajal is pretty much at the top of her game down South and hence is taking things as they come in Bollywood.
''You can see that after SINGHAM I wasn't sitting at home. I have been working on films and doing those which are exciting, regardless of the language,' she reasons, 'Some of the other Hindi films that came my way weren't very exciting. However with SPECIAL CHABBIS everything has worked out quite well. I have seen Neeraj Pandey's A WEDNESDAY and it was fantastic. Who wouldn't want to work with such a director? And then of course there is Akshay. Moreover with such an interesting character to play, I wouldn't have let go off this film.''
In fact one does feel that there is a definite strategy that Kajal has adopted when it comes to her Bollywood foray. Even though both SINGHAM as well as SPECIAL CHABBIS have been publicised for their male leads Ajay and Akshay respectively, it is Kajal who stands to gain as she doesn't have to shoulder the entire responsibility.
''I never really thought about this actually,'' says Kajal, ''I have never strategised so much about movies. It is never like ab main next kya karoon jisse mujhe aur achchi filmein mil jaayein. I have been very instinctive right through my career because there is no other way that I can function. If I like a story, I give it a green signal. Period. I don't start envisaging that what would happen next.''
