Akshay hits a century, defeats cricket yet again!

It is known to all that cricket in India is followed almost like a religion, and countless fans watch the matches being aired so passionately that even the mighty film makers are wary of releasing their movies when any big tournament is around the corner as the collections (supposedly!) of most of the films released during those times are bound to get affected. Some of the trade pundits too carry the same view.
However our own 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar has managed to do the impossible and has overcome the competition from big cricket tournaments, not just once but two times over!
Just to recall, it was way back in 2007 when the successful director-actor duo, Akshay Kumar-Vipul Shah's NAMASTEY LONDON released during the height of cricket madness, the ICC World Cup.
The film did get off to a subdued start. However it did fabulous business later on and proved to be a 'lambi race ka ghoda'. The dull start was not due to cricket but because Akshay was in a totally new serious 'avatar' in NL, and so was Katrina. In fact it was after the runaway success of NL that both Akshay and Katrina came to be regarded as serious actors. NAMASTEY LONDON was a hat trick for Vipul-Akshay 'jodi' as their first two films, AANKHEIN and WAQT were hits.
Coming back to the present, history has repeated itself as this time Akshay has once again managed to come up trumps . Yet again it is a hat trick but with another director.
Yes, this time it's the director-actor duo of Sajid Khan and Akshay Kumar who took cricket head on and released their film HOUSEFULL 2 during the very popular India Premier League (IPL) matches . HOUSEFULL 2 is already a super duper hit netting 110 crores till the fourth week, and still counting (both in India and overseas), and a hat trick for Sajid-Akshay with their last two films, HEYY BABYY and HOUSEFULL, already being hits.
