After the two sisters, Nutan and Tanuja, dominating the Hindi film industry in the same era, the only names that come to mind are Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Both the sisters are superstars in their own right.
While Karisma was the darling of the masses (RAJA HINDUSTANI, JEET & JAANWAR), and had a sizable fan following with the classes (more so after DIL TOH PAGAL HAI), Kareena's appeal is predominantly amongst the multiplex thronging elite audience, and she is still to achieve the height of mass popularity like her sister Karisma.
No wonder then that Karisma's comeback vehicle, Vikram Bhatt's DANGEROUS ISHHQ, is a keenly awaited and anticipated movie, which releases all over today.
We spoke to the handsome actor Arya Babbar, who essays one of the key roles in DI, and asked him if Karisma's magic was still intact, even after so many years of self-exile, he said, "Karisma is as beautiful as ever. I am too small to talk about her acting prowess, but if you ask my opinion, I feel that she is better than before." When we queried Arya about how it was to work with Karisma, he replied, "She is very helpful and cooperative with all her co-stars, and very easy to work with."
Well, no doubt Karisma is looking as stunningly beautiful as ever, and as can be seen from the promos she is in vintage form.
