Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders, could be banned for life from entering Mumbai's Wankhede stadium after getting into a scuffle with Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) personnel on Wednesday, media reports said.
According to the MCA, the actor, who showed up at the stadium for a match between the Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, abused and misbehaved with a security personnel when he and his entourage were stopped from going on to the ground after the game.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowlers had performed well to help the side win the Twenty20 cricket match against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday.
The MCA, that has alleged Khan was drunk, has filed a police complaint and says it will also report the incident to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
'He (Khan) misbehaved and abused the MCA security personnel as well as MCA officials, including our president Vilasrao Deshmukh, after the IPL match. We have decided to ban him for life from entering the stadium in future,' MCA treasurer Ravi Savant was quoted as saying.
'SRK was dead drunk, our security tried to stop him but he pushed him and abused in such filthy language that I cannot use it here. Our officials tried to pacify him but he started abusing them, he abused MCA, BCCI and used the 'f' word and said whatever you want to do you do it...,' Savant said.
The alleged skirmish at the Wankhede stadium comes just months after Khan was accused of getting into a brawl, along with his security guards, with Bollywood director Shirish Kunder for supposedly making fun of his movie RA.ONE.
