An interesting debate doing the rounds, concerns the two Diwali releases - Ajay Devgn's SON OF SARDAAR and Shahrukh Khan's JAB TAK HAI JAAN. Anybody and everybody, who has even a microscopic knowledge about the Hindi cinema, wants to know whether the makers of the two mentioned films are right in releasing their projects simultaneously on Diwali.
SON OF SARDAAR and JAB TAK HAI JAAN
We have to confess, that even we want know about the fate of the two films, and are quite curious to know which of them will triumph during the festival of lights. Rather than, speculating and resorting to astrology and numerology, we got in touch with the pundits and the know all (s) in the trade and distribution circle, those who have seen and done it all, and know about their take on the subject. And here is their response:-
'Both are right, as the trailers of the two, SON OF SARDAAR and JAB TAK HAI JAAN, are lovely. Even the songs of the two respective films are being loved by the audience. Besides, Diwali week has the capacity for two big releases. In 1998, the Diwali week had seen two big films clashing - Karan Johar's KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI and David Dhawan's BADE MIYAN CHOTE MIYAN and both of them were huge hits.'
Well, those are encouraging words indeed for us cinema enthusiasts, as we believe in the motto, 'The more the merrier', and wish a double (success) and concurrent blast this Diwali.
