A popular actress down South, Nidhi Subbaiah is now juggling South film industry as well as Bollywood, what with AJAB GAZABB LOVE round the corner. However not many are aware that she hails from an entirely non-filmy family where acting was never considered as a profession.
"Yeah, I am the only child of my parents and was actually doing my Engineering. Game plan of my parents was that I should do my MBA after that, get married and then have two children," giggles Nidhi, "However they were shocked no less when I dropped a bomb about my acting plan. It was quite 'ajab' as well as 'gazabb' for them. Trust me, the war continued for six long months as they actually felt that I was out of my mind. They just felt that I should be plain and simple pursuing with my studies."
Things changed though, when she started her career with Kannada movies and recognition starting coming her way.
"Exactly, and the icing on the cake was the awards that I started getting," she smiles, "Today when I go on stage and thank my parents for everything, they are the most thrilled people."
Hope they have something similar to cheer about when their daughter is seen on the big screen for a Hindi film as well on Wednesday, 24th October, the day when AJAB GAZABB LOVE with Jackky Bhagnani as a lead releases all over.
