As per the early reports, the film is not only doing very well in the metros (as was given), but the single screens too are surprisingly good. The best business comes from Delhi-NCR followed by the Mumbai circuit and Hyderabad -Nizam.
It may come as a pleasant surprise to many (especially the fans of Karan Johar brand of cinema) that in a place like Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) the film has opened to a 100 percent occupancy! The single screens of Uttar Pradesh too are reporting good figures from the cities. The most important thing is that STUDENT OF THE YEAR is carrying a positive word of mouth from those who have already checked it out.
Well, as they say, a good beginning is half the battle won, and so SOTY is sure to emerge a winner, as the remaining two days of the current weekend, and also multiple holidays during the next week are sure to gladden the hearts (and fill the coffers) of all those associated with the film!
