Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan kept his promise and will be seen in an promotional film for West Bengal in September.
Khan, who is the 'brand ambassador' of the state, will only charge a 'fish fry' for doing the film, media reports said.
The three-minute long film, titled BEAUTIFUL BENGAL, will be released on the second week of September. It is the first-of-its-kind initiative taken by the state since Independence.
According to reports, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has seen the film and suggested few changes in it.
Pertinently, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo had urged 'brother' Khan to appear in the film.
The film has been made in English and Hindi and Khan will be seen speaking in Bengali.
The film will be used to promote Bengal's tourism sector, reports said.
Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the film has been shot in different locations of the state and has highlighted the success story of the state government.

Chowdhury said the film is an 'idea film'. He said Khan's portions were shot in Mumbai.
Khan, who is also the winner of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) winning team Kolkata Knight Riders, had asked Mamata to make a film like this one when he met her at the state secretariat Writers' Building earlier this year.
Khan said he will only take a 'fish fry' as his fee for working in the film.
Pertinently, Mamata felicitated the IPL winning Knight Riders team at Eden Gardens earlier this year.
