Everyone celebrates a birthday/ However Vivek Oberoi likes to keep it large. Instead of just taking this as a special day, he usually plans month long celebrations and prefers to call it a birth-month. This way, he likes to spend time with everyone close to him, be it his parents, wife, friends, NGOs with which he is associated and other underprivileged souls who expect him to be around them and give his whole hearted attention.
Says a friend of the actor, "This year it has been no different. Work comes first which means he celebrated his birthday on the sets of GRAND MASTI at ND Studio. In the coming weekend he plans to visit the 'aashram' which has been a ritual for him for last 25 years. He just can't miss that and same is the case with the cancer patients too whom he pays a visit on a regular note. There are so many kids who look forward to celebrating his birthday."
Meanwhile there are commitments closer home as well, what with his wife, sister as well as parents expecting him to be around.
"Yes, this is going to be a month long celebration," smiles Vivek who turned 36 yesterday, "I have been busy shooting and promoting KISMET LOVE PAISA DILLI (KLPD). In fact I have to celebrate my birthday with them too. Obviously I can't do it all in a single day but a treat is definitely due.
While his co-star Mallika Sherawat, producer Amit Chandra and director Sanjay Khanduri are waiting to cut a cake with him, his other producer Kumar Taurani has already sent him a gift. Well, he has postponed the release of JAYANTA BHAI KI LUV STORY to December this year, hence averting a clash with KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI. Guess Vivek would have yearlong celebrations, and not month long this time around!
