Happy birthday Anurag Kashyap & Atul Kulkarni

Bollywood director and screenwriter Anurag Kashyap and National award winning actor Atul Kulkarni turned a year older on Monday.

Anurag Kashyap, who was born in 1972, turned 40 years, while Atul Kulkarni turned 47 years.

Kashyap made his directorial debut with the unreleased film PAANCH, which was followed by a controversial film BLACK FRIDAY about the 1993 Bombay Bombings (a series of 13 bomb explosions that took place in Mumbai).
Kashyap is best known for making films on bold storylines and experimental themes.

As a filmmaker, some of his best works include films like NO SMOKING , DEV D, GULAAL, THAT GIRL IN YELLOW BOOTS, and BLACK FRIDAY and GANGS OF WASSEYPUR.

As a screenwriter, his major works include films like SATYA, WATER, UDAAN, SHOOL, KAUN and few other films.

He has also acted in few films like I AM, LUCK BY CHANCE, BLACK FRIDAY, YUVA and few others.

Kashyap was formerly married to his girlfriend Aarti and the couple have a daughter named Aaliya. After their divorce, Kashyap married actress Kalki Koechlin in 2011.

Two times National Award winning Marathi superstar Atul Kulkarni started his career as a theatre personality.

The actor who graduated from National School of Drama, New Delhi also holds a degree in English literature.

Kulkarni, who is best known for doing unconventional films, has won National Award in the category of Best Actor in a Supporting Role for films like CHANDNI BAR and HEY RAM.

Kulkarni's performance in films like PAGE 3, RANG DE BASANTI, CHANDNI BAR, DELHI 6, SATTA, DUM received critical acclaim.

With blockbuster Marathi films like VALU and NATARANG, Kulkarni attained the status of a superstar in Marathi film industry.
