Without trying to sound monotonous we can't help but start by saying that - As expected and predicted- This Friday's Anurag Basu directed, Priyanka-Ranbir starrer, BARFI!, has embarked on a good start at the multiplexes across India (75-80 percent
In some cases, the opening is excellent (90-95 percent). What weighs heavily in favour of BARF! is the fact that apart from Metros and 'A' centers, the film has done exceedingly well even at the multiplexes and single screens of mid-sized towns. The first day is expected to be in the range of 9-10 crore, and is likely to get better as the weekend progresses.
Meanwhile last Friday's Vikram Bhatt directed Bipasha-Emraan starrer, RAAZ 3, continued its winning run, even during the weekdays, and ended up netting 55 crore (to be validated) from India. RAAZ 3 has not only surpassed the entire run of previous Emraan's solos (MURDER and JANNAT 2) in just a week, but it has almost equaled one of his highest grossers, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI (co-starring Ajay Devgn). The film is on way to be the first solo super-hit of Emraan Hashmi's career.
Ending with Salman-Katrina's EK THA TIGER, the film added more than 4 crore during its latest run, taking the net total to 198 crore in four weeks from India. The Kabir Khan directed film is all set to cross the 200 crore mark this week, only the second film apart from Aamir Khan's 3 IDIOTS to do so!
