Sometimes back, when we had talked to the highly versatile actress, Divya Dutta, we had praised her for the superb and loveable roly-poly act in the television serial, SHANNO KI SHAADI. We also took the opportunity to ask her if there were any more serials that she was going to feature in, but she had replied in the negative saying, 'I have no plans for TV in the near future, and I will now concentrate on my film career.' How correct she was!
Till now she has been a part of many prestigious films, and has excelled in almost all the roles that she had essayed. And in this Friday's release, HEROINE, Divya Dutta essays the role of a media person, and all those who have already seen the Madhur Bhandarkar directed flick are praising her sky high, and saying that she is the surprise package of the film.
Interestingly, when she was recently queried about the reason for her signing HEROINE, despite it primarily being a Kareena Kapoor starrer, Divya replied, 'Media and films are inseparable. For me it is the role that matters and not the length. As you may recall in VEER-ZAARA , my role was noticed despite presence of stars like Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta. And most importantly who wouldn't want to be a part of a Madhur Bhandarkar project.'
Well, we are sure that apart from Kareena's riveting performance, Divya's superb portrayal of a media personality will be a major asset for HEROINE.
