Bollywood films are increasingly going for out-of-the-box promotional strategies and its time now for the Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan starrer, GHANCHAKKAR to up the game as well. UTV Motion Pictures has decided to announce a nationwide treasure hunt that will give fans a chance to win Rs1 lakh.
As part of the game, money will be hidden in 16 cities across India. Like any other treasure hunt, contestants will be given clues to find it. The winner will get to take home the prize money in cash.
Since this sort of promotional strategy has never been explored before, the production house is hoping to get a lot of attention from the viewers. The event will be hosted in Lucknow, Kanpur, Delhi, Mumbai, Indore, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Pune among other cities.
Raj Kumar Gupta, director says, ''The idea is to promote the film in a fun manner. Currently, the logistics are being finalised by the production house.
