Last Friday's David Dhawan directed, CHASHME BADDOOR, a remake of the Sai Paranjapye directed 1981 classic, has put up a great performance, more so for a project of its size (and cost!) and not boasting of any top 5 stars! Once again, the youths have proved that they are the ones who matter a lot to fate of any film, taking nothing away from the merits of CHASHME BADDOOR! Coming to actual numbers, the film saw a reasonably good first day, picking up substantially on the next two day and thus netting around 19 crore (to be validated) during the opening weekend. The film though has not done well in the overseas grossing £51,000 in the UK and $150,000 from the US during the opening weekend (5-7 April).
