One of the most anticipated films of the year is Illuminati Films' Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru directed GO GOA GONE. Being one of the first zom-com (zombie comedy) it has managed to arouse the curiosity of the audience, who crave for some out of the box entertainment. The response to the hilarious trailers of the Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu and Vir Das venture has been just amazing! And apart from the rib tickling jibes and jokes and of course the scenic party capital Goa, another thing that has caught the attention of the audience is the amazing background score, based predominantly on the chartbusting 'Slowly Slowly' track!
Music has always been a plus point in all the films directed by Krishna D.K and Raj Nidimoru and amongst quite a few memorable songs is 'Saibo' from their last outing SHOR IN THE CITY. Their upcoming GO GOA GONE is produced by Saif Ali Khan's Illuminati films, having an excellent track record of classy yet popular music (LOVE AAJ KAL, COCKTAIL and AGENT VINOD).
When we queried the young and talented director Krishna D.K. as to whether GO GOA GONE has another cult classic like 'Saibo' he replied ( smilingly) but in the negative , 'Actually Raj and me don't work like that. We have gone for a regular audio album, rather than a manufactured one! Every track in GO GOA GONE is essential to the script and has its place in the proceedings. As far as 'Saibo' is concerned we are aware of its popularity but have not tried to create a similar track, but yes, we do have a slow song that suits the mood. The composers, Sachin-Jigar have done a splendid job.'
With Saif Ali Khan's RACE 2 still the biggest grosser of the year, here is hoping that Raj and DK's GO GOA GONE surpasses it and emerges a super duper hit!
