Is Rishi Kapoor turning out to be the most dependable of them as far as actors on the other side of the 60s are concerned? This is pretty much is turning out to be the case if his current successful streak at the box-office is concerned.
'With CHASHME BADDOOR doing well too, the 60-year old actor now has delivered four back-to-back hits. Whether it is HOUSEFULL 2, AGNEEPATH, STUDENT OF THE YEAR or now CHASHME BADDOOR, the veteran actor is enjoying a dream run, something which was a virtue for him back in his heydays when he ruled as a romantic lead,' informs an observer.
What further lends credibility to his presence in these films is the fact that there are some strong parts being written for him that ensure that he is not labelled as a character actor.
"Moreover, each of these films has reputed names involved. Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sajid Khan, David Dhawan - he is on the wish list of one and all," the observer adds.
That things are only going to get better is reflected from the fact that he would now be seen in three films with Yash Raj (AURANGZEB, Manish Sharma's yet untitled film, Nupur Asthana's yet untitled film), one with Subhash Ghai (KAANCHI), another with Nikhil Advani (D-DAY) and last but not least a film with Ranbir Kapoor (BESHARAM).
With almost each of these films promising to be entertaining enough for the audience, do we see a new Mr. Consistent in the making?
