Deepak says, ''I am not getting the kind of work I like. So I am not happy. I want to do a biopic or a romantic drama. I'm also interested in doing a relationship based drama. I feel that's my zone and I can excel in that.''
Deepak feels he has it in him to carry an entire film on his shoulders.
''I am capable of doing lead roles. I don't think you need to look beefy to do a lead role. I will gain weight only when I feel I want to look different from my previous roles.''
Speaking about his latest release, CHOR CHOR SUPER CHOR, the 37-year-old actor says, ''Shuklaji has trained many youngsters for robbery. The youngsters rob and hand over whatever they get to him. The character that I'm playing wants to leave this robbery as he feels it's not right and plans to live a normal life. So he starts living a normal life. But he's shocked when even the so called 'decent' people dupe him. This makes him rejoin his gang. How he takes is revenge forms the crux of the film.''
So has Deepak ever robbed in real life?
''I have robbed many times in real life. I've robbed my father's money. I have also robbed mangoes and guavas from gardens. But my robberies didn't cause harm to anyone. I was even caught sometimes,'' says the actor on a concluding note.
