''I don't have the luxury of saying no to films. I need to work and I need to earn a living. But yet I take time to think. I keep on pondering whether I want to do a film or not,'' says the 56-year-old actress.
Speaking about her character in the film, Dimple says, ''She loves to poke her nose in everybody else's business. When she doesn't like something that is happening, she'll step in and try to correct it. She's had to deal with some pain in her life. So she's formed a barricade where she doesn't let people into her life easily. Her life is with her fish and her money plant. She sings and talks to them. They are her company. Her reality is different from what is actually happening. To describe her in one word, she's a drama queen.''
Dimple is pretty impressed by the younger generation of directors.
''The new generation of directors is very passionate. They actually sit down, work on the characters and direct the actors. That's what a director is all about. It's not about action and cut. It's to direct the actor to play the role the way he sees it. The younger directors have this quality. They are brilliant directors. So it's a huge asset today for any actor to work with talent like this,'' states Dimple.
Apart from Dimple Kapadia, WHAT THE FISH also stars Sheeba Shabnam, Manu Rishi Chadha, Manjot Singh and Anand Tiwari and is scheduled to release on 13th November 2013.
