It has been a year since the country was shocked with the ghastly rape of Nirbhaya. To coincide with the unfortunate first anniversary of the incident that stays on to be one of the darkest spots of civilization, first look of KILL THE RAPIST would be unveiled.

Confirms producer Siddhartha M Jain, "Yes, we are bringing the first look on 16th December as it is the day which continues to remind us of how there are predators around us."

The film has been in news for last many months and though it is not based on the Nirbhaya incident, its core lies in the torrid tale of a rape victim. It was just apt that the first look was launched on this date which is inarguably a black day in the history of mankind."

"What I can assure though is that the film is going to result in quite a few debates," promises Siddhartha, "In the times when aam aadmi has shown its power of toppling down the biggest of the powers, as has been demonstrated in the recently held elections, even the entire marketing campaign for the film bears similar elements. You would see that soon."

Starring Anjali Patil (of CHAKRAVYUHA fame) in the lead, the film is directed by Sanjay Chhel and releases in February-March timeframe.
