Though Alia Bhatt has had the privilege of being a star kid, the actress never really took advantage of it. Coming from a family which has its roots in the Bollywood for almost three decades, things could have been a cakewalk for Alia, but she chose to go the other way.
After her debut in Karan Johar's STUDENT OF THE YEAR, Alia is gearing up for her second release, Imtiaz Ali's HIGHWAY. When asked to sum up the experience of shooting for the film, considering the background in which the movie was shot, Alia replied, ''It was a different experience altogether.''
In her first film, Alia essayed the role of 'Shanaya', an elite class teenager, which is completely opposite of what she is doing in this Imtiaz Ali's road saga. Ask her how difficult was the transition and she explains, ''Well what I played in SOTY was just a character and not the real me. This was something I always wanted to experience. I started working at the age of 18, so I have never explored new places with my college friends and have never had the fun of a road journey. So this is something very new for me.''
So did she throw any starry tantrums during the shoot? ''I don't throw any starry tantrums and hopefully I will never do that, otherwise my father will slap me and so will my mother,'' clarifies the pretty girl.
Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, directed and produced by Imtiaz Ali, HIGHWAY starring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda releases on February 21, 2014.
