2014 would kick-start with the arrival of a debutant. Shiv Darshan, son of Suneel Darshan and nephew of Dharmesh Darshan, would be kick-starting his Bollywood innings with KARLE PYAAR KARLE. Surprisingly, father Suneel Darshan hasn't directed the film and instead first timer Rajesh Pandey has been roped in.

"Well, Rajesh has been associated with dad for the longest time. Having said that, dad was on the sets each and every day. He gave me and Rajesh all the liberty to do things our way but whenever he felt that we went astray, he would bring it to our notice. He was always around for all the adjustments and corrections," says Shiv.

Since Darshan Sr. has made a dozen odd films over two decades with EK RISHTA, JAANWAR, ANDAAZ and LOOTERE being some of the most notable of the lot, one expects that it must have been natural for Shiv to get groomed as an actor in his teenage days itself.

Smiles Shiv, "As a matter of fact I was not much actively involved. During his earlier films I was a kid and then even when dad was making SHAKALAKA BOOM BOOM and DOSTI, which were again 6-7 years back, I was dissuaded from spending too much time on the sets. My dad felt that I perhaps wanted an easy way out and jump directly into films. He made sure that I complete my education first."

While that was indeed a smart move, the youngster is now looking forward to the arrival of KARLE PYAAR KARLE which hits the screens on 10th January.
