2013 has not just been the best year ever for Deepika Padukone, it has been the most productive for any actor from past or present, what with as much as 600 crore being generated by just four of her films (RACE 2, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, CHENNAI EXPRESS, RAM-LEELA) in a single calendar year.
However, with a hectic year gone by where she had to get into shooting schedules one after another, she didn't get time to celebrate her success well. More so, she was also hardly in Mumbai, what with promotional visits, if not the shoots, keeping her occupied.
No wonder, what she is longing for most is not just a break but a game of badminton!
Not many are aware of the fact that Deepika has also been a national level badminton player. However once acting bug bit her, it was adieu to professional badminton for her. Nevertheless, the game continues to be a stress buster for her and whenever she finds a break, she brings herself on the court.
Last heard, Deepika is not just planning to spend a little more time than before so as to catch up on the game, she is also looking at the development of sports and sports people in the country.
Considering the fact that she has FINDING FANNY, HAPPY NEW YEAR and WINDOW SEAT in 2014 and a couple of more biggies in the offering, one waits to see if she indeed manages to go back to her first love - badminton!
