It was a good beginning to the New Year when Eros and Viki Rajani came together for TABLE NO. 21. As a surprise success of the year, the film was also special since it delivered a social message in an entertaining manner. Meanwhile the producers made sure that they didn't cut corners when it came to spending on the film and gave it an upmarket look while also promoting and releasing it well.
Now the same team is returning with 3G and by the look of things, this one appears to be pretty much falling into the same bracket.
"Scale of horror has been upped with the film," says a source attached to the film, "Generally when we talk about horror, we show 'puraani haveli', ghosts, 'aatma' and stuff alike. However horror is not just limited to that. It is about fear; something which is there in the mind. You don't know what happens and these are some of the ingredients that have been brought to fore very differently in 3G."
In the process of doing that, debutant director duo Sheershak-Shantanu (who have actually written TABLE NO.21 and also 3G) have ensured that technology plays a major role in telling the tale, something that really excited Viki and Sunil Lulla.
"Yes, technology is one of the instruments which is very strong in taking the narrative forward," the source adds, "Without that the story wouldn't move. This reflects in their direction as well which has made this a slick, fast paced horror flick. It is going to be first of its kind experience for sure."
