Just one call to Urvashi Sharma Joshi and within five minutes she had arranged a special screening of MUMBAI MIRROR at IMAX, Wadala for the street children of Shelter Don Bosco.
SHELTER BOYS MEET BOLLYWOOD ACTOR SACHIIN JOSHI
Shelter Don Bosco is an institution that takes care of street children and reintegrates them back into society. And the screening was part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations which culminates on March 2, 2013 at the Shanmukhananda Auditorium, Sion, with a gala show where their Brand Ambassador Boman Irani will be present.
Sachiin Joshi who portrays Abhijeet Patil in MUMBAI MIRROR and the man behind the 'Yes' to the screening of the film was present at the interval and he spent a good half-hour chatting with the enthusiastic boys and telling them that what they see on screen should not be emulated. He was especially referring to the violence. The boys were all over Sachiin (as is evident in the pictures) and he left with a promise of seeing them again.
Speaking with Fr Roger Jones, director of Shelter Don Bosco, Sachiin expressed his thanks for the good work that they were doing. He was even surprised when Fr Roger explained to him how boys from Shelter have gone ahead and become successful in life with families of their own. Some even run their own business, he explained.
The journey of the past 25 years has indeed been rewarding for priests and the shelter boys.
