With Salman Khan's diary for 2013 becoming clearer and Deepika Padukone too giving finishing touches to at least two of her films, one waits to see whether the two would come together for the first time in a film. The one that is seeing some good spotlight on itself for quite some time is KICK, the casting of which has been intriguing to say the least.
DEEPIKA PADUKONE and SALMAN KHAN
''While Salman has been on board since day one, it is the female lead around whom there is quite some deliberation already,'' says a source, ''Unlike the Telugu KICK which was mainly centered on the male central protagonist, there is quite some meat which is in store for the female protagonist as well. Need of the hour is to be bring someone with a credible presence and who can match Salman at every step.''
Since Salman has come together with Katrina (EK THA TIGER) in an action film quite recently and Kareena Kapoor had a share of that with AGENT VINOD, the choices for a top female lead becomes further limited. This is where Deepika Padukone's name keeps featuring time and again.
''More so since her RACE 2 has now turned out to be a big action winner. The film has shown how she can be in the same frame as the big boys, despite a multi starrer set up, and makes her presence felt on the basis of terrific glamour quotient. Sajid Nadiadwala, who has time and again taken pride on heroines of his films being presented quite well, is conscious about the female lead who would make it for his first ever directorial outing. If at all this combination with Salman and Deepika indeed works out, KICK would turn out to be ultra-special since this would also be their first ever pairing.
However with Sajid as well as Deepika keeping mum around the entire matter, the mystery only deepens further. As for Salman, he has seldom gone on record around the heroines he has in mind for his films. We believe if he comes along with Deepika, it would be a special outing indeed. What's your thought?
