Dear Neha Sharma,

You have been impressive with your talent and improving in every outing. You do not just enact a scene but one can see you immerse yourself in a plot, whatever may be its content, or dialogue. And more importantly, you make even the most mundane scene watchable just by the way you deliver a dialogue, maintain those pauses and express with your eyes.

To my mind, I have found, or rather seen, just three actors before you who are way above brilliant. They are Ashok Samarth, Prashant Narayanan and Nassar. Give these three actors, any dialogue, any scene in any situation and they are sure to make it look watchable and also enjoyable. All this just by their talent alone.

If you haven't watched EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL, you should view it solely for Ashok Samarth's performance. That it is a good film and enjoyable, is another matter altogether. However, Ashok has not been seen in many movies after that. Talent alone is not enough, I guess.

Prashant Narayanan is another rock star performer. He is like a cricketer, who smashes a boundary with every delivery he faces. He has his eye set in from the very first delivery (read scene) and makes mincemeat out of any situation given to him. CIGARATTE KI TARAH is one such example. No, I would not like you to torment yourself watching that movie, but if you want to see a genius in action, do watch it. I saw him again in MUMBAI MIRROR. I do hope he gets the breaks he so rightly deserves.

Nassar is another gem. Nay, I would go a step further and say he is brilliance personified. In DAVID he carves a niche for himself as a protestant pastor. In VISHWAROOP, released the same day as DAVID, he has a contrasting role, that of a jihadi. Now in your own flick, JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY, as a cop who is dismissed from duty, he means business. Three films: three diverse roles - all super performances. I do hope to see more of him in the years to come.

Coming back to you, from CROOK, to TERI MERI KAHAANI to KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM to now, you have been consistent in your performance.

Here's hoping you get the right breaks. When you feel things are not going your way, just look at the rise of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. His is a case of sheer perseverance. He is finally being rewarded for his genius.

Along with talent, perseverance and patience also play a key role.
