For Arjun & Shruti it is just plain & simple business

Arjun Rampal and Shruti Hassan would be uniting for the first time ever on the big screen for D-DAY. Though their pairing isn't conventionally Bollywood, what with Arjun playing a cold blooded assassin and Shruti enacting the part of a prostitute, if makers are to be believed then theirs is one of the nicest tracks in the film.
"While Rishi Kapoor is of course at the centre-stage and is hogging all the limelight for being India's Most Wanted criminal who has to be brought back to India from Pakistan, Arjun and Shruti have a big part to play in the entire narrative as well. Director Nikhil Advani has very seamlessly woven their story in this action drama where even though love cannot be on the forefront, it can still be integral to the script," informs a source.
The biggest common factor between the two characters is shown as their quest for being in 'plain and simple business'.
"Well, my part is that of an undercover agent who is sleeping with a prostitute. That too happens for a reason and is organically developed. A relationship develops between both of us which is very endearing," says Arjun, "The unique thing about the two of us is that while we are in different professions, we are here just to do some plain and simple business."
He goes on to add, "Of course on the outside it may seem that we are playing these cold hearted man and woman who have no hope left in mind. However there is indeed something special that develops between the two of us. It is a nice journey for both of us and then when an unexpected incident takes place, it becomes personal for my character Rudra. There is no looking back post that."
Well, we are looking forward to what actually happens once D-DAY releases all over this Friday.
