Amidst competition, BAJATEY RAHO all set to do another CHALO DILLI?

Even though as many as eight films are releasing alongside BAJATEY RAHO, those associated with the film are still treating it as a well calculated and thought of decision. While being obviously careful about arriving in the middle of a crowd, director Shashant Shah and producer Krishika Lulla have good reasons to believe that all should eventually be well.
"Shashant and Krishika aren't new to this phenomenon though when it comes to release of their films. Their last, CHALO DILLI had come with five other films and still come up trumps. It is a matter of a better product doing all the talking," comments a source.
"No wonder, it is a deja vu of sorts for BAJATEY RAHO team as it finds itself engulfed by six other films, namely NASHA, BUDHHA, EK BURA AADMI, ISSAQ, LUV U SONIYO and OOPS A DESI. However most of these have a budget of less than 10 crores and aren't expected to see a widespread release. Though it appears to be a crowd, the fact remains that BAJATEY RAHO and to an extent ISSAQ would get the best and most widespread release," the source adds.
This is the reason why Shashant is taking it easy and letting his producers battle their way through the Friday release.
"I trust my producers (Eros) really well. They are players in this game for a very long time and know what they are doing. I have been assured of maximum eyeballs," says Shashant, 'This worked for me in CHALO DILLI as well. Also, as long as we are not taking on a real biggie, it is fine.''
He adds, ''Not that I haven't been a part of professional hara-kiri once. I remember my DASVIDANIYA not really covering the distance since my producers released it alongside (Karan Johar's) DOSTANA."
Other than ISSAQ, which is a film that he too is awaiting, he feels that so many others have unnecessarily crowded the box office on this particular Friday. "See, I can't fight after a point. Suddenly one film after another started making an announcement. Guess everyone who is doing that is supremely confident about his product. Well, good for them."
