This Friday's major releases, Tips Films' Prabhudheva directed, RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA and Nikhil Advani's D-DAY, (both) managed a decent start at the ticket window with collections in the range of 30-40 percent. The two films are faring better at the single screens as compared to the multiplexes. Given the encouraging response and feedback, the Girish Kumar-Shruti Hassan starrer RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA and Rishi, Irfaan, Arjun and Huma venture D-DAY, are expected to fare well during the weekend, with RV having its nose in front, thanks to the campus crowd patronising it!
Meanwhile Viacom 18 Motion Picture's Farhan Akhtar starrer, BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG, saw a bountiful first week netting 52 crore (to be validated). Given the fact that BMB is putting up a stiff challenge to the two new releases, RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA and D-DAY, the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directed film is expected to emerge a clean hit in the second week, based on its highly successful global run.
