Wait would be soon over for those who have been gearing up to watch Anil Kapoor make his debut on the small screen with '24'. The veteran actor is all set to launch the T.V. series and plans are already being put together to unveil the First Look of the action thriller.
''It is a matter of just a few weeks now,'' informs a source, ''After promoting and releasing SHOOTOUT AT WADALA, he is now concentrating entirely on '24'. It has shaped up really well and Anil Kapoor is making sure that it turns out to be the biggest thing ever to hit the small screen.''
'24', an American television series, starred Kiefer Sutherland as a Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) agent. It ran for 8 seasons between 2001-2010 and each of the 24 episodes in a season covered 24 hours in the life of this agent while using the real time method of narration. Now while stepping in as an agent for the series which he has brought to India, Anil Kapoor is making sure that the narrative carries a similar punch and is set on the same scale as the American series.
''It has to,'' says Kapoor, ''We can't do anything lesser. While we have adapted the series after buying all the rights, there would be some elements tweaked in order to cater to Indian audience.''
