Neil Nitin Mukesh is one emotional young man and that is something that people close to him vouch for. Now for his upcoming release SHORTCUT ROMEO, he is taking his emotional persona to the next level by dedicating the film to his uncle.
''His name is Shashi and he is Neil's father's best friend,'' informs a close associate, ''He has been tracking Neil's career graph since JOHNNY GADDAAR and has been constantly sharing his views about his performances. Since most of the films done by Neil have an edgy feel to them, including this year's DAVID and 3G, Shashi uncle strongly felt that he should do one film where he appears as a complete package. You know, the kind of hero who romances, sings, dances and does a lot of action.''
His wait was over though once the promo of SHORTCUT ROMEO was out which, as per him, was seemingly a 'masala' entertainment in the offering with Neil in the kind of role that he wanted him to be seen.
''On seeing the film's promo, he came over to Neil's house and gave him a hug. He told him that finally he had come up with a complete performance. Neil also reciprocated by telling him that finally he had listened to him,'' smiles the associate.
When contacted, Neil admitted that he is dedicating the film to his uncle.
''He as well as my parents have said to me that while they love me in the dark roles that I have done, it was about time that I played a part where the protagonist is heroic but also a naughty and a mischievous character,'' says Neil, ''In fact the first time I heard the script of SHORTCUT ROMEO, I instantly compared it with JOHNNY GADDAAR; it is a step ahead.''
Hopefully this indeed comes true once the film plays on screens.
