There have been tales and there would be tales of boys and girls from the film fraternity deciding their course of life in the early stages itself. Now Girish Kumar's tale of life had enjoyed a similar set up for itself as well. The story goes that the RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA lead was just 12 years old when he had made up his mind to be an actor in the industry. The fact that he is a Taurani scion further ensured that no eyebrows were raised.
"Kumar Taurani, his dad, had started the music company TIPS along with his uncle Ramesh Taurani long time back. Then they ventured into film production as well. Naturally, most of the talks at home as well as office surrounded films. Girish wasn't oblivious of that and started taking keen interest in these conversations," informs a friend of his.
While the filmy 'keeda' did sting him hard, he started taking keen interest in everything that happened in front of the camera. A serious son-and-father conversation at a tender age of 12 resulted in Girish being all the more sure about the career path he wanted to choose.
"Not many youngsters get a chance to have their dad ask them about their career plan when they are just 12 years old. However my dad wanted to know if I was serious about acting. He looked into my eye and asked me that what did I aspire to be. I had been waiting for this question. I immediately said - 'An actor','' reveals Girish.
Kumar Taurani was a tad non-committed at that point though as he first wanted to gauge if it was just a youngster's dream or he was really serious about his wish.
"Par main serious tha. Bas time mila toh maar diya hathoda. RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA was mine," laughs Girish before signing off.
The results would be there on screen once this Prabhudheva directed film releases all over on 19th July.
