Sonal Chauhan on 3G: Horror with technology is the core

Buzz has started growing on 3G at just the right time even as less than a week remains for the release of the film. With the promos being all over and songs too finding good response coming their way, those associated with 3G have a reason to smile even though the protagonists have a lot to worry about in this horror psychological thriller.
Says Sonal Chauhan, film's lead actress, 'Yes, it is about this couple for whom there are turn of events that lead to their lives going haywire. Certain things happen in their lives which completely suck them into this state of affairs from which it becomes almost impossible for them to come out. It is about the struggle of this couple and whether they manage to get rid of all obstacles.'
One major obstacle that she and Neil Nitin Mukesh face in the film is a 3G connection on a mobile, something that leads to a technology angle coming in. So can we say that this is one of those rare Indian horror films which have technology playing a major role in bringing on the horror element?
'Well yes, as the title suggests, technology has a role to play here though the film is not about that per se. See, technology is so big today and it is something that has always fascinated me in particular as well. The world has gone so far ahead. There are pros and cons of everything. At some point in life we too have spoken about and argued about how technology is taking over our lives. This is something that forms the core of 3G as well and hence brings in the horror thriller aspect. It is a unique experience for sure.'
We are curious as well to check that out once this Eros International and Next Gen Films Production with Sheershak Anand & Shantanu Ray Chhibber as co-directors releases all over on the coming Friday.
