What's common in most of the films coming from the house of Bhatts, whether Mukesh or Vikram? Well, it is sex, horror and soulful music. Now that 3G is promising each of these elements in good proportion, all eyes are on whether Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan too would have a biggie up their sleeves.
'The makers have done well in not just focusing on promoting the psychological horror thriller genre of the film. They have made sure that Sonal Chauhan is in news for her picture perfect beautiful body, bikini and the kisses. Add to that a melodious soundtrack by Mithoon which is being heavily promoted and the cocktail is pretty much on the offering. All that remains to be seen is how audience comes forward to saviour this,'' says an observer.
What further works for Neil Nitin Mukesh is the fact that he is continuing to bring streaks of negative shades in practically each and every film of his. For an actor who started off as a grey character with JOHNNY GADDAAR and has consolidating his place as a lead protagonist film after film, it seems like a conscious move to get into a dark zone yet again with 3G.
'There are actors who have made their niche in romantic films while I like being a part of thriller affairs. Personally too that's my favourite genre. As for the zone factor then well, all I convey in my characterisation is that this is a guy who could be black or white, so take your pick. At times I may play someone grey but then there are also times when I love being hardcore evil,'' Neil elaborates, 'Of course there is this bit of innocence and humanity that I always bring along that audience can relate to, hence bringing in an acceptability factor. If that turns possible on screen, it is a win.'
We hope this indeed turns out to be the case once this Eros International and Next Gen Films Production with Sheershak Anand & Shantanu Ray Chhibber as co-directors releases all over on the coming Friday.
