She has been around for more than a decade now and seen some good successes coming her way. Though there are girls in the industry who joined after her and have raced past in the career graph, Amrita Rao feels that it is futile to get into a comparison mode since every person and his or her aspirations are different.
"I don't believe in following any trend,'' she smiles, "If actresses are doing 3-4 films a time that's good for them; maybe I can do only 1-2 movies a year. I have always stuck to my comfort zone. It isn't as if the offers didn't come my way. However, somehow I stuck to what I want to do and what I believe in doing."
"All I can say is that it is important for people to follow their heart and do what they like to do rather than be in this competition zone. I truly believe that you cannot have competition between apples and oranges. After all, there is a season for oranges as well as apples and mangoes. Till your season arrives, you need to have patience,'' she laughs.
Getting serious, she adds, "Truly, everybody is made so differently in their choices, personalities and comfort zones. It is just right that everyone is liked and valued for who they are. In the process, you should not lose your core qualities because somebody else is in the spotlight at that moment. I have people around me in my family who remind me of this all the time and keep me where I am. You never know when your time will come."
Well Amrita, if promos of JOLLY L.L.B. are any indication, truly your times seems to have come!
