There is no respite for Emraan Hashmi as yet. After spending weeks promoting EK THI DAAYAN and in the process also missing out on celebrating his birthday with family, the actor is now gearing up for the release of his next flick GHANCHAKKAR. Though he did take a mini-break of sorts from all media activities during last couple of weeks, it is going to be back to the grind for man who is looking forward to a potential big hit in this film where he has Vidya Balan for company.
'The film's theatrical promo had fetched a very good response and it has been refreshing to see Emraan in a light hearted role. After a long list of serious roles (EK THI DAAYAN, RUSH, RAAZ 3, SHANGHAI, JANNAT 2), he would finally be letting his hair down. In fact his comic timing has to be seen to believe since he has never been seen in such kind of a character before,' informs an insider who has managed to have a dekko at the film.
As for the actor, he is now looking at a big money spinner in the form of this Rajkumar Gupta directed film which comes in the wake of his diametrically opposite to his other films.
'Well, I am just taking every opportunity as it comes my way and cross every hurdle,' says Emraan, 'I am trying to run as fast as possible in the race. Really, as a matter of fact I don't know where I stand but then I am trying to max it all out for me.'
He goes on to add, 'As simple as I can put it, I wouldn't want to falter somewhere. Yes, there are hiccups somewhere and then there are obstacles but then I want to keep moving as per my abilities. I work hard on each of my films and GHANCHAKKAR has made me give my best.'
A UTV production that also stars Rajesh Sharma and Namit Das in key roles, GHANCHAKKAR releases all over on 28th June.
