As GO GOA GONE readies for release, Saif Ali Khan would be returning to the big screen 100 days after the release of RACE 2. While he has a central part to play in the Abbas-Mustan multi-starrer, Saif is happy to be seen in a supporting role for the zomcom entertainer which has Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari in the lead.
''And I am okay with that,'' says Saif, ''Normally when you are doing a film then you want to be the best thing about it. Here I am okay if it turns out to be a film of these boys. I am playing a supporting role and that is fine. However let me add that it is a strong part of the film; I am not bullshi$$ing the audience about my presence. I am there in the film for a good part.''
Playing Boris, a 'Dillwaala Russian', Saif feels that he could draw parallels of his part in the film with that of the real contribution he is making to GO GOA GONE as a producer.
''Yes, off screen too I have a same role as that of Boris. I am taking care of the project and just making sure that things are in place for the film. Directors Raj and DK know what to do and I have given them a solid platform here.''
He hasn't started counting the numbers though that are expected of this film.
''You can't pre-empt such things,'' he reasons, ''Sometimes you choose which films what you want to do; you know the kind which are new, different and fun. If you are lucky then audience agrees with you also. I found the story of GO GOA GONE very unusual. We have made it in the best possible way and I hope audience will enjoy.''
We hope so as well when this production of Illuminati Films and Eros International releases all over on Friday.
