He is making sure that YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI reaches out to all nooks and corners of the country, hence turning out to be the hottest film of the season. However, despite his clout and the marketing/promotional pull that he has managed for this Ayan Mukerji directed affair, Karan Johar insists that all he has for the film is provide his moral and financial support.
"It is the entire team that has come together so passionately," says Karan, "Otherwise if you look at it, this was a tough film to execute. Ayan has handled tough schedules, weather conditions, inaccessible locations and eventually now has the payoff started."
Tell him that YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI is presumed to take a bumper opening after a grand release and he says, "Yes, it would be one of the biggest releases for all involved. However this is all that I am bringing on the table here. Other than that, I take no credit for the film. Ayan has proved his mettle with WAKE UP SID, Ranbir has been consistent for years while Deepika has shown what she is made of with COCKTAIL. I am happy and proud that we decided to come together make a film."
With Pritam coming up with several chartbuster tracks for the film, hence leading to added curiosity around the film, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI is well set as a true musical romantic tale in the offering.
"Yes of course, Pritam and along with him lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya need to be given credit to for bringing a new lingo for this generation. They have nailed this album and at Dharma, we are proud of what we have managed to achieve," exclaims Karan before signing off.
