Krishika Lulla has tasted reasonable success with two diverse productions in the past, CHALO DILLI and DESI BOYZ, both of which released in 2011. Though she waited for a couple of years before starting her next production, she was sure that quality would talk the loudest. Moreover, she had her intentions clear of not getting involved with a film just as Ms. Moneybag but also ensure that creatively too, it was indeed different from the regular stuff being churned out in Bollywood.
Says a close associate of the producer, ''Krishika has been creatively involved in the film from the very beginning when it's scripting was being done. There were a lot of good things that (director) Aanand L. Rai brought on the table while further to that she too came up with a lot of inputs that were appreciated and accepted.''
As the film started taking shape, Krishika was completely immersed in its making and didn't begin any other new film till the principle shoot of RAANJHANAA came to a close. As a hands-on producer, she was there with the team all throughout.
''There is something so pure about this movie that I had to be really involved. I was just enjoying the experience of being there, more as a creative person than someone who was assigning funds,'' smiles Krishika, ''When you would see the film, you would realise that there is a lot of depth in every scene that has been written. Moreover, Himanshu Sharma's dialogues are just brilliant. Of course, eventually it is all team work that would show on screen since everything just went hand on hand.''
