The sudden and unfortunate demise of director par excellence, Rituparno Ghosh, sent the whole industry in a state of shock, be it the Hindi film industry or the Bengali cinema. Easily one the brightest and greatest talents, Rituparno Ghosh, was a true inheritor to the great legacy of such imminent and legendary Bengali directors like Bimal Roy, Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen etc.

Winner of as many as 12 National Awards and countless international acclaims, Rituparno Ghosh regaled audiences all over the world with great films like ANTARMAHAL, CHOKHER BALI, RAINCOAT, SUNGLASS and NOUKADUBI, to name a few. He was responsible for giving the industry many talents and undoubtedly one of the brightest amongst them is actress Raima Sen

When we got in touch with Raima (a part of most Rituparno films recently), the young and talented actress was naturally grief stricken and paid a tribute to Rituparno Ghosh saying, ''It is a shocking loss for the industry...I have lost my mentor, who has shaped my career CHOKHER BALI onwards.''

Indeed, quite like Raima we too are grief stricken with the passing away of Rituparno Ghosh but his brilliant work will keep him alive in the memories of his fans forever.
