There have been stories from the past and present around celebrities treating their helps at home as family members. In fact some of them have been the kind that could even give diabetes to the characters in a Sooraj Barjatya film. However one such recent incident happened in real life of Shahid Kapoor when his cook's son fell from a height and injured himself badly.
"This cook has been working with Shahid for quite some time and the actor, who is quite diet conscious, trusts in him to ensure that a proper diet plan is maintained. The two have a really close bond because when at home, he makes sure to eat only the food that has been prepared by this cook. Shahid is quite close to the cook and his family and this is the reason why he was shocked when informed about the boy suffering a fall," informs our source.
On finding the boy bleeding profusely, his family panicked. Shahid was worried too and instantly rushed him to the hospital.
"There were stitches applied on the boy and intensive medical treatment given. Shahid stayed by his and the family's side right through the time before the boy was put to sleep and the doctors gave a green signal," the source continues.
Considering the fact that Shahid has been ultra-busy with the promotion of R... RAJKUMAR and was also occupied with the film's music launch which was to happen soon, his personal staff suggested him to carry on with his engagements rather than waiting at the hospital.
"He didn't move an inch though," says a family member, "Shahid has his own kid brother who he is very fond of and has always been extra caring and protective towards him. He felt that in this moment of need, he couldn't turn his back on the cook and his son. He got his other engagements re-prioritized and carried on with his work related matters only after a while."
Guess this Rajkumar could well be a Rowdy with a heart of gold.
