Yami Gautam says, Marrying a Pakistani is a serious issue

She was talking to the media on the occasion of the first look and trailer launch of her second feature film TOTAL SIYAPPA written by Neeraj Pandey and directed by Eeshwar Nivas. The film stars Pakistani actor singer Ali Zafar, Yami Gautam, Anupam Kher, and Kirron Kher.
The film is set in London and is the story of an Indian Hindu Punjabi girl falling in love with a Muslim Pakistani boy who is a rock star and the resultant confusion and chaos caused in her family. That's why the title of the film TOTAL SIYAPPA that literally means total chaos.
A TV star and model Yami Gautam debuted in Bollywood as the heroine of a very successful low budget feature film VICKY DONOR. On being quizzed if given a particular circumstance will she fall in love and marry a Pakistani Muslim boy in real life, Yami was taken totally off guard. Probably, she did not expect that a question as direct as this will be asked in a Bollywood first look launch press conference. And she answered the question as candidly and carefully as she could and said that it was a serious issue and will require some really hard thinking.
TOTAL SIYAPPA is an official remake of a Spanish rom-com and will be released on 31 January 2014. It's produced by Neeraj Pandey and Reliance Big Entertainment. It was previously titled AMAN KI AASHA after the names of the film's lead characters.
